Demo accounts open with no deposit and no documents · every deposit and withdrawal is reviewed before the money moves · the terminal runs in a browser, on a desktop or a phone
Both account types carry the full instrument list and the same terminal. Three things differ: how the cost of a trade is charged, the leverage limit, and the funding threshold to open.
No separate commission. The cost of a trade sits inside the price you’re quoted, so there’s one figure to watch and nothing to reconcile after you close.
A narrower quoted price and a separate commission on every trade. If you trade larger positions or trade often, the narrower price usually outweighs the commission.
Rawnarrower price, separate commission
A narrower price than Standard on the same instrument
A higher leverage limit increases the loss from the same adverse move. It’s a bigger exposure, not a better account.
Your account record in the platform states the leverage limit and the funding threshold that apply to you, and that record is the authoritative source. The table below summarises both account types.

Account choices
You choose the type, the mode and the currency.
Three settings decide how an account behaves: the type, the mode and the reporting currency. The leverage limit follows from the type.
Account type
Standard or Raw. Standard puts the cost of a trade inside the quoted price. Raw quotes a narrower price and charges a commission on every trade.
Account mode
Demo or live. A demo account runs on simulated funds and carries no financial exposure. A live account trades your own money.
Reporting currency
US dollars, euros or pounds sterling. The currency sets the denomination the balance is shown in, and changing it does not convert the balance.
Leverage limit
Set by the account type, then capped by the instrument. The lower of the two limits governs every order.
A demo account and a live account can be held at the same time. They are separate accounts with separate balances.
Margin and the order ticket
The margin a position needs is shown before the order is submitted
The leverage limit that applies to the order is shown on the same ticket
A stop loss can be attached at entry or afterwards, and it caps the loss on the position
Margin stays committed while the position is open and comes back when you close
Positions are marked to market while they are open, with the running profit and loss on each
The two modes are separate accounts with the same capability. What differs is where the money comes from and whether a loss can reach you.
Demo account
The account runs on simulated funds. Nothing about the balance is real, so nothing is at risk and nothing can be withdrawn.
Live account
Opens with a zero balance. Nothing is charged and nothing is at risk until you fund it, and we review every deposit and every withdrawal before the money moves.
Change of account type
An account can be moved between Standard and Raw. Positions already open keep the cost basis they were opened on, and nothing is re-priced after the fact.
Standard is the default and the simpler one: one figure, no commission and the lower funding threshold. Raw costs less once your positions are larger or you trade more often, because the narrower price outweighs the commission. You can run both on a demo account before you decide.
Can a demo account and a live account be held together?
Yes. They are separate accounts with separate balances, and the same sign-in reaches both. Closing one is not a condition of holding the other.
Does either account type restrict what I can trade?
No. The instrument list is identical on Standard and Raw, and identical on a demo and a live account. The account type changes how the cost of a trade is charged, not what is available to trade.
What does the leverage limit govern?
The limit sets the most leverage available on a position for that account. Each instrument also carries its own maximum, and the lower of the two governs the order. We refuse an order above the limit rather than quietly reduce it.
Can the reporting currency be changed?
Yes. Changing the currency alters the denomination the balance is shown in. Nothing is converted, no exchange rate is applied, and the underlying amount stays the same.
Is there a minimum position size?
There is no minimum amount of money per trade. The limit is the smallest position the platform will open on a given instrument, plus the margin that position needs. You can try the sizes you have in mind on a demo account first.
Account selection
Open an account.
Run both account types on a demo account before you commit anything. A live account opens with a zero balance, so nothing is at stake until you choose to fund it.
